NetBet is a licenced betting site available to users in Ireland. Offering odds and markets on Irish sports and competitions, along with international events, NetBet have become a popular choice for bettors in Ireland and beyond.
This site offer bonuses and promotions that are unavailable at other Irish betting sites. We’re going to explore these offers, along with the reasons why NetBet have gained a huge following since their inception in 2001.
This review has been researched and written by our expert team at BetBrothers.ie.
As per the terms and conditions of their licence, NetBet must adhere to all rules and regulations provided by their governing authority. There isn’t any record of NetBet failing to comply with these regulations in Ireland, but the British Gambling Commission did fine the betting organisation in 2020 for failings in their anti-money laundering and social responsibilities.
NetBet can offer gambling services to users in Ireland, as long as they’re aged 18 or above.
NetBet offer a handful of promotions for new and existing customers to take advantage of. While there isn’t as much choice as many other betting sites in Ireland, the promotions that are available are easy to claim and can potentially provide an attractive amount in winnings compared to your qualifying stake.
There aren’t any NetBet bonus codes required to qualify for any current promotion. Instead, all that is required is a qualifying stake. The welcome offer, which we’ll come to shortly, provides a free bet for new customers if they meet the terms and conditions. Currently, there aren’t any no deposit bonuses, but there are Boost offers available, for which all NetBet users are eligible for.
A bonus code isn’t required to activate this offer, just simply a qualifying deposit and bet. You can use any available payment method to make your qualifying deposit, with the exception of Neteller, Skrill and PayPal.
Your qualifying bet can be placed on any sport available on the bookmaker site. You can place a Single bet or a Multiple bet featuring at least two selections. Note that there is a minimum odds requirement of 1.5 either as a Single bet, or on each selection of your Multiple, in order to activate this offer.
A time limit of 30 days from registration applies to this offer. This means you need to place your bet and have your bet settled within this 30 day period. After bet settlement, you’ll receive your NetBet free bet within 24 hours. Once you’ve got your free bet, you have 7 days in which to use it.
There aren’t any no-deposit bonuses available at NetBet. As we’ve discussed earlier, a free bet is offered as part of their new customer bonus.
NetBet offer existing customer promotions for their users in Ireland. There are two Acca Boost offers – one for UFC betting and one aimed at football bettors.
In addition to the bonuses above, NetBet also offer an Early Payout football offer. Place a Match Winner bet on an eligible football match and if your selection goes two goals ahead, your bet will be paid out as a winner.
Promotions on specific events are often available. This is particularly true on sports’ biggest events. For example, at the time of writing NetBet were offering a €5 free bet for every goal scored in the UEFA Europa Conference League Final between Real Betis and Chelsea.
You can expect to find event promos when the biggest sporting events are taking place, such as the Cheltenham Festival or the World Cup.
NetBet do offer a dedicated mobile betting app for iOS devices. There are no mobile-specific promotions available, but all desktop promotions are accessible using the app and via the mobile site.
While NetBet offer a Players Club for their Casino players, there isn’t a corresponding loyalty club for Sportsbook bettors.
Customers can use their bonus funds on any sport or market, unless otherwise stipulated in the terms and conditions of the offer you’re taking. For example, if you receive an Acca Boost bonus, you can use these funds to bet with. With the €20 new customer free bet offer, you can use your free bet on one accumulator, one virtual sports offer or one sports offer.
NetBet tend to offer different promotions when the biggest sporting events are taking place. For instance, when the Cheltenham Festival is taking place, you can expect to find horse racing-specific promotions available. Similarly, when the football World Cup is on, you might find football and World Cup promotions available before and throughout the tournament.
There isn’t a referral program available at NetBet Sportsbook. This type of offer is occasionally found in their Casino, but not for sports bettors.
The easiest way to keep updated on new NetBet Ireland promotions and bonuses is to accept marketing notifications. You can do this during the registration process or via your Settings menu once you’ve created your account.
Different promotions come with different time limits. The €20 free bet welcome offer, for example, gives you 7 days in which to use your bonus bet. There aren’t any specified time limits with which to use your extra winnings from either Acca Boost offer.
You’re unable to combine any NetBet offer, nor can you qualify for any offer using a free bet stake.
NetBet’s €20 free bet offer is only available to new customers. All other promotions we’ve explored can be accessed by existing customers, as well as new customers once they’ve created their account.
There are no wagering requirements attached to any promotion NetBet currently offer. However, if you don’t use your bonus before the specified time limit, it will be removed automatically from your account.

Horse racing odds are available on Irish and UK racing. Users can also bet on international races, taking place in the USA, Argentina, Australia and Chile. Major horse racing events and festivals, like the Cheltenham Festival, Grand National and Royal Ascot are also available.
In addition, more niche sports are available to bet on. For example, customers can bet on major competitions in sports like surfing, lacrosse and 3×3 basketball.
Another aspect we’re impressed with is the range of competitions available to bet on within each sport. Let’s take football for our example. There are almost 90 different football tournaments and competitions NetBet users can bet on, ranging from the sport’s biggest leagues to third tier domestic football. Also included is Ireland’s Premier Division along with the Leinster Senior League.
As well as the myriad of pre-match betting odds, NetBet also offer a comprehensive in-play betting facility. This covers a range of sports, including football, tennis, basketball, volleyball and ice hockey.
It’s easy to navigate through the site and find the sports you want to bet on. Use the Menu on the left hand side of the page to find your sport. You can then choose which competition you want to bet on to view all current available odds.
To place a bet at NetBet, simply click on the odds you want to take. Your selection will be automatically added to the bet slip on the right hand side of the page. If you’re placing a Single bet, enter your stake at the bottom of the slip and click Place Bet. If you want to place a Multiple, or Combo, bet, you can do so by clicking on each set of odds. Each selection will automatically be added to your slip. You can also choose to place a System bet using the relevant tab at the top of the slip.
The ability to create your own bet has revolutionised betting in recent years. NetBet offer their Bet Builder facility, which is available on the following sports:
NetBet provide a number of tools for bettors in Ireland. There are statistics on a number of sports available, featuring information like Head to Head and Timeline, along with graphic displays and commentary.
Also available is NetBet’s Bet AI, an AI-powered betting assistant. Accessible from the top of the homescreen, Bet AI can help you find odds and markets quickly, as well as help find solutions to any issues you might have. While it’s in its infancy, the Bet AI tool is actually pretty handy, particularly if you’re looking for a specific event or match to bet on. Plus, it saves on waiting times for connecting with the customer service team.
You can also find the Bet Assist feature next to selected markets. For example, if you open up all odds on a football match and click the Bet Assist icon next to Match Result market, you’ll find statistics on latest form and win probability.
Cash Out is also an option on selected bets. If your bet is eligible for Cash Out, this will be displayed at the bottom of your bet slip.
Streaming is also an option on some events. Frustratingly, there isn’t a live streaming schedule available on the NetBet site. While streams are available on some sports, they are not available on every competition. It’s a little hit and miss in all honesty. However, every game and match we researched came with a live statistics display, updated in real time.
Just like their pre-match options, there’s a good range of in-play markets on many different sports. A typical NHL match has almost 30 separate betting markets available. We did find, though, that the bigger the event, the more live markets were available.
While we’ve been impressed with NetBet’s Bet Builder feature, one disappointing aspect is that it’s currently only available on pre-match markets.
There isn’t a way to create your own Favourites tab. However, if you’re looking for a particular competition or fixture, using the Bet AI feature can help you find it quickly.
We’ve examined the quality of the odds available at NetBet. For our research, we looked at football, Gaelic Football and basketball odds. Specifically, we analysed the odds on the UEFA Champions League game between PSG and Inter Milan, the All-Star Senior Football Championship match between Derry and Galway, and the NBA game between New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers. You can view our findings in the table below.
Let’s now look at how NetBet’s odds compare to other Irish betting sites. For this comparison, we analysed the odds on the same fixtures at QuinnBet and Boylesports. As we can see in the table below, NetBet’s odds compare favourably to their competitors.
To indicate changes in odds, NetBet apply a colour coded arrow system. For odds that have increased, you’ll find a green arrow in the top left corner of the odds box. For prices that have shortened, you’ll see a red arrow in the bottom right corner of the odds box.
It’s rare for NetBet to offer enhanced odds or price boosts on Single bets. You can find, though, price boosts on Combo bets, including prepared Bet Builder bets which are located across the top of the homepage.
NetBet odds are automatically set to display as Fractional. This can be changed using the Settings menu, where you can choose between Fractional, Decimal and American odds.
Your potential returns are displayed at the bottom of your betting slip when you enter your stake.
Cash Out is available on eligible bets. If your bet is eligible for this feature, you’ll find the Cash Out option listed at the bottom of your betting slip. Check your Open Bets to see if any of your bets can be cashed out.
There are a range of payment methods available for NetBet users in Ireland. To access the deposits page, click on Cashier at the top of the homepage.
Customers in Ireland can only use Euro as their currency. Currency settings are set to the country you reside in and this cannot be changed.
Card is the default payment method. Click on Change to choose from the following options:
To deposit, enter the deposit amount in the field provided. To confirm the transaction, click on Add to my Account. Your funds should be available to bet with instantly.
Cryptocurrency payments are currently unavailable for bettors in Ireland.
There’s also an impressive range of withdrawal methods available, which we’ll detail in the table below. Processing times vary, depending on which method you’re using. To withdraw, you will need to have verified your account. If you haven’t done so, you’ll be prompted to complete the verification process before a withdrawal will be processed.
All withdrawals, no matter which method you’re using, are processed between 2 and 24 hours of request. Paysafecard withdrawals are possible if you’ve opened an online mypaysafecard account.
It’s possible to reverse a withdrawal request if you wish to. If your request is still listed as Pending in the My Account section, you can submit a reversal request.
To check the status of your withdrawal, head to the Withdrawal section under the My Account tab.
Bettors in Ireland can make deposits and withdrawals in Euros.
NetBet offer a dedicated betting app for the iOS platform. Overall ratings are poor, with the app receiving a 1.9/5 rating on the official App Store. There isn’t an Android app available for bettors in Ireland. However, you can still place bets via the mobile version of the site.
The site works reasonably well on a mobile browser, though we would prefer an Android app to be available. While ratings are low for the iOS app, we actually found it incredibly user-friendly.
All aspects of the desktop site are available using either the iOS app or the mobile version of the desktop site. Live betting and streaming can be accessed via mobile, along with the ability to make deposits and request withdrawals.
If you allow marketing notifications, you can receive Push notifications. This can be changed from the Settings menu.
There are no differences in odds between the desktop site and mobile app. Whatever price you see on the desktop site is the same as what you’ll receive on the app or by using the mobile version.
To download the NetBet app, visit the App Store. You’ll find different apps available for different NetBet facilities including Casino and Poker, in addition to their Sportsbook.
You can contact the customer service team by using a couple of different methods. The Live Chat icon is located in the bottom right of the homepage. It’s only manned between 09:00 and 23:00, however. If you click on the icon outside of these hours, you’ll find an AI-powered Help service.
Alternatively, click on Support from the Main Menu. Here, you’ll find a Request form. Submit your request and you should receive a response within 24 hours – you’ll receive a notification on your betting account when you receive a reply.
In addition, there is an FAQ section available from the Main Menu. This section covers a range of topics, including Payments, Bonuses and Betting.
If you encounter any issues with your account, it’s a good idea to contact the customer support team as soon as you can. While the lack of a 24 hour live chat service is frustrating, you should receive a response reasonably quickly using the online form.
There is a dedicated Responsible Gaming section available at NetBet. In this section, you’ll find a range of tools and advice designed to help you stay in control of your betting.
There are a range of limits you can set to help you do this. Via the Player Protection page, users can set Deposit and Loss limits. You can also set up a Deposit limit when you create your account.
It’s also possible to set up a Reality Check. When you do so, you’ll receive a notification each hour you’re logged into your account. There is also a Session Time tool you can enable, which will permanently show how long you’ve been logged in.
NetBet encourage bettors to contact them if they think they might have a problem with gambling. They also provide details of a variety of support organisations.
Additionally, there is a self-assessment questionnaire, accessible via the Responsible Gaming tab.
NetBet also offer Time Out and Self-Exclusion features. With the former, users can temporarily suspend their account for 24 hour, 48 hour, 7 day or 30 day periods. With the Self-Exclusion feature, you can suspend your account for at least six months, and you won’t be able to gain access to it throughout the exclusion time period.
These features allow you to take a break from betting, without closing your account. If you want to completely close your account, contact the customer support team.
This site keeps track of all your bet placements, deposits and withdrawals. You can find this information in the My Account section.
Online reviews show that NetBet has an average rating amongst users in Ireland. The main frustration with customers appears to be the verification process and how long it takes. Every account must be verified for NetBet to fully abide by the regulations of their governing authority. However, some users have complained about verification documents being rejected and finding it difficult to meet these regulations.
There are a number of positive reviews, too. Users praise in particular the customer support team, along with the ease of claiming bonuses and promotions.Since their foundation in 2001, NetBet have been nominated for numerous industry awards. While the Casino has won awards, NetBet’s Sportsbook also picked up the CEEGA award for Best Overall Sports Betting Operator in 2016.
We haven’t come across any reports of the website or app crashing or causing any kind of issue. During our own research, we found both platforms to be incredibly user friendly, we didn’t encounter any issues.
As we’ve touched upon in this review, NetBet offers several other betting facilities in addition to their Sportsbook. Users can access their Casino, Live Casino, Vegas, Lottery, Poker, Jackpot and Mini Games facilities once they’ve created their account.
There’s a fantastic range of slots and games available in the NetBet Casino. There’s over 1000 for players in Ireland to choose from, covering game types like slots, table games, Crash, Megaways and Jackpots.
Games are provided by some of the industry’s biggest and most popular names, including the following:
Some of the most popular slots and games are available at NetBet Casino. The Book of Dead, Big Bass Splash and Gates of Olympus series’ are available amongst the vast range of options.
Equally as impressive is NetBet’s Live Casino facility. Players can select from a range of live games, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat and craps. There’s also a variety of live game shows for customers to play, such as Monopoly, Crazy Time and Dream Catcher.
Live games are provided by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Evolution, Pragmatic Play and Play ‘n Go.
All games in the live casino are accessible using the mobile app if you’re an iOS user, or via your mobile browser.
There are an array of low stake and high stake tables available for players in Ireland, including blackjack and baccarat varieties.
There are daily and monthly specials, featuring Drops and Wins on different provider’s games. There are also free spin offers on selected games, such as NetBet’s Big Bass Bonanza Lucky 100 promo.
Each offer comes with a series of terms and conditions. These differ from promo to promo. The 500 spins welcome offer, for example, has a playthrough requirement of 40x and a time limit of 7 days.
NetBet offer their Players Club, available to all Casino players. Joining the Players Club will award you NetPoints every time you play an eligible game. You can then exchange these NetPoints in the Club Shop for bonuses, gifts and cash vouchers.
There are Demo versions of many of the slots and games available. You don’t even need to be logged into your account to access these Demos. These are a great way to learn how a particular slot or game works, without risking any of your bankroll.
If you’re looking for a particular slot or game, you can use the Search function to find your choice quickly. All games are split into sections, click on the icons across the middle of the page for each particular genre.
We’re impressed with what we’ve found at NetBet. The Sportsbook covers a good range of sports, including some of Ireland’s most popular events. The desktop site is well set out, easy to navigate through and provides an overall seamless experience.
Once the verification process is complete, it’s easy to make deposits and withdrawals. There’s a good range of methods available for users in Ireland to choose from. Account settings are easy to access and to change, including odds formats.
We’d like to see more sports promotions. The bonuses available are easy to claim, and there’s a UFC-specific promotion that very few other Irish betting sites concentrate on, but a wider variety would be nice to see. We’d also like to see the addition of an Android app for customers in Ireland to download.
However, we’re generally very pleased with NetBet. Odds are fair, particularly on Irish sports, with prices available on Gaelic Games events well in advance of many of their competitors.
